ASBURY PARTNERS PROVIDES 100 TURKEYS TO AREA FAMILIES
In spirit of giving, oceanfront redeveloper holds turkey drive for Asbury Park residents
Asbury Park, N.J. – Thanksgiving would not be the holiday that
everyone looks forward to all year around if it were not for
the delicious, traditional turkey dinner. So, in the spirit of
giving, Asbury Partners distributed 100 fresh turkeys to families
who might otherwise go without at the First United Methodist
Church of Asbury Park.
“As part of our overall mission to the community, we feel it is important to provide to those who might not be able to provide for themselves,” said Fishman. “To
truly rebuild and improve Asbury Park means going beyond the actual construction
of new buildings. It means revitalizing the spirit and hope of this great city.
You can see this happen before your eyes whenever a local job is created or
a family is provided with a warm holiday meal.”
This is the fourth consecutive year that Asbury Partners has provided
food for the needy for Thanksgiving. Last year, the company teamed
up with Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JF&CS) of Greater
Monmouth County and the Asbury/Neptune Ministerial Alliance to
donate 100 turkeys to area families in need.
“This was a chance for us to provide additional support for to the community, and it would not have been possible without being able to work with strong community leaders, such as Reverend Augustine and the First United Methodist Church,” said
Fishman.
Asbury Partners is planning on working with local area churches in December to distribute toys to needy children for the holidays.
