November 20: Asbury Partners Sponsors "Walk As One - Rock As One" Benefit For Anti-Bigotry Organization All Proceeds Go To National Conference For Community And Justice-New Jersey
ASBURY PARK, N.J., Oct. 11, 2005 - Asbury Park's inaugural "Walk As One - Rock As One" event to benefit The National Conference for Community and Justice - New Jersey (NCCJ-NJ), a non-profit organization dedicated to ending bias, bigotry and racism will be held on Sunday, November 20. Asbury Partners, master developer of the 56-acre Oceanfront Asbury redevelopment, is hosting the fundraiser, whose goal is to promote understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures.
The event will begin with a boardwalk walk-a-thon, followed by lunch and a mini-concert at Convention Hall.
Registration begins at noon at Convention Hall, and the fee is $15. The walk, from Convention Hall to the Casino and back, begins at 1 p.m.
All "Walk As One - Rock As One" proceeds will benefit the New Jersey Youth Leadership Institute and the over 1,800 New Jersey high school students who participate in NCCJ-NJ's peer leadership training to promote inclusion and diversity within their schools.
