Oceanfront Asbury Sub-Developers Donate Funds To Hurricane Relief
Paramount Homes, Westminster Communities and Metro Homes Send Emergency Funds to Salvation Army
ASBURY PARK, N.J., Nov. 2, 2005 – The three sub-developers in the Oceanfront Asbury waterfront redevelopment team joined together to make a $6,000 contribution on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Paramount Homes, Westminster Communities and Metro Homes provided funds to sponsor a fundraising concert at Convention Hall during the city’s “Jammin’ for the Big Easy” weekend event this fall, and made a significant donation directly to the Salvation Army’s hurricane relief fund. Asbury Partners, the master developer, donated the venue for the concert.
“Citizens of Asbury Park have a special bond with those of New Orleans,” said Larry Fishman, chief operating officer of Oceanfront Asbury. “We are both waterfront communities with a proud history and a reputation for tourism and entertainment. As builders, we of the Oceanfront Asbury community know that cities like ours can and will be rebuilt. But it takes time, energy and the determination to see a dream through to fulfillment.“
